It’s simple, really: write content that will be useful to readers. You can get into tips and tricks all you want. But it will be this simple rule that makes people listen to what you have to say on your blog.
If you want to blog for yourself, that’s totally cool. Go ahead and write whatever you want however you want. But if you want to blog so people will listen, you necessarily have to write posts that is made for readers, not yourself. There will certainly be some overlap, but there needs to be a transition from personal to public; it can’t just be a cut and paste.
